Tanuki XL-1 has been developed and tested about a year with the cooperation of designer from Europe and rod engineers from Asia. It has been tested since September 2016 at fly fishing trade shows and related fly fishing events through out US and Italy. This this the lightest tenkara rod for its length on market today. Tanuki XL-1. It feels like Glass Fiber with the lightness of Japanese Toray high modulus carbon fiber..
With a strong strong backbone of Western Tenkara rod and delicate flexibility of Japanese tips, it is built for pinpoint casting. It is designed for anglers who like to fish with a small dry fly as well as heavy Czech nymphing style.
