Tanuki Pocket Ninja - fly fishers' best friend
Tanuki Pocket Ninja is my newest project and will be on Kickstarter in August. It is designed for backpackers, hikers, travelers and roadside fly fishers.
All Tanuki rod prototypes have been tested on the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. Pocket Ninja is no exception. I will be testing it July 22, this coming Monday. I'm stopping there on the way to Bozeman, Montana, where I will be participating in 2019 Fly Fishing Expo. (I am giving a seminar and a workshop #65 Fly Fishing with Tenkara rod.)The rod is short enough to fit in glove compartments. In the last two weeks, I have been testing it on my four day long golden trout trip in Eastern Sierra and roadside fishing the way back. I caught a few big rainbows, browns and a good sized brookie. Stay tune for the Fire Hole report.
