The Merced River in California

The Merced River is a very nice medium fishing stream in California. It has a lot of deep pools and fast running waters. It is an awesome river for Tanuki rod. I took the Tanuki Pocket Ninja out for the ride to see how it handles the fish on fast current water and deep pool. The Merced River opens all year round for fly fishing only outside of Yosemite National Park. It runs along the side of highway 140 to Yosemite National Park. There are many stream accesses along the roadside.
